Guru Wajib Tahu! Cara Meningkatkan Kompetensi Profesional Dalam Diri Guru!

Guru sebagai pendidik merupakan elemen yang sangat penting di dalam tercapainya keberhasilan dalam pembelajaran di dunia pendidikan. Sebab hal tersebut, guru sebagai seorang pendidik merupakan tenaga kerja profesional yang harus dan wajib memenuhi kualifikasi termasuk kompetensi guru yang merupakan bagian dari profesinya.

Peraturan yang mengatur tentang guru dan dosen diatur dalam Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 14 Tahun 2005. Selain itu, terdapat standar kualifikasi akademik  dan kompetensi yang harus dipenuhi oleh guru yang termuat di dalam Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional Nomor 16 Tahun 2007.

Kompetensi-Kompetensi Guru

Berikut kompetensi-kompetensi yang harus dimiliki guru berdasar atas Undang-Undang yang berlaku, yaitu :

  1. Kompetensi Pendagogik

Kompetensi Pendagogik memiliki pengertian yaitu sebuah keahlian atau kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh seorang guru di dalam mengelola jalannya proses pembelajaran atau keterampilan guru di dalam mengadakan interaksi belajar mengajar yang efektif dengan siswa.

  1. Kompetensi Kepribadian

Kemampuan ini berkaitan dengan bagaimana karakter personal dari seorang guru di dalam mencerminkan kepribadian positif yakni supel, sabar, disiplin, jujur, rendah hati, berwibawa, santun, empati, ikhlas, berakhlak mulia, serta bertindak sesuai norma social dan hukum, dan lain sebagainya.

  1. Kompetensi Profesional

Jika membahas mengenai kompetensi profesional guru maka perlu terdapat pemahaman bahwa kompetensi ini memuat sejauh mana kedalaman seorang guru dalam menguasai materi pelajaran yang diampu, termasuk di dalam memahami struktur, konsep, serta bagaimana pola pikir keilmuan dirinya sebagai seorang pribadi maupun yang berprofesi sebagai guru.

  1. Kompetensi Sosial

Membahas mengenai kompetensi social berarti sama saja dengan membahas mengenai keahlian atau kemampuan seorang guru di dalam berkomunikasi, bersikap, berinteraksi secara umum dimana interaksi disini berarti interaksi dengan sesam guru, tenaga pendidikan, orang tua siswa, dan hingga masyarakat secara luas.

Tentunya mengembangkan kompetensi bukan hal yang mudah. Diperlukan adanya program pengembangan yang dapat meningkatkan kompetensi-kompetensi yang terdapat dalam diri guru. Hal yang terpenting dan wajib ada di dalam diri guru yaitu kompetensi profesionalisme. Oleh sebab itu, guru pintar akan terus meningkatkan kompetensi profesionalisme ini dengan berbagagai cara. Upaya di dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru dalam dunia pendidikan sudah seharusnya menjadi sorotan dan harus dilaksanakan oleh banyak pihak seperti pemerintah, instansi tempat guru mengajar, dan dari dalam diri guru itu sendiri.
